With the media constantly putting affairs, drugs, and fights all over the internet about celebrities, it’s hard to forget they they’re just like us sometimes. Celebrities may have huge houses, fat bank accounts, fancy cars, and lavish lifestyles, but they’re also human and enjoy some of the simpler things in life, and this includes the love for guns. Yes, they can afford to buy all of the guns they want, but they’re like us in the sense that they enjoy shooting and collecting them. Let’s check out a pretty cool list of big stars that fancy guns, big and small.
We all know her from various movies that all involve guns, such as the Tomb Raider flicks, Mr . & Mrs. Smith, Salt, and other various action packed films. She loves guns so much that she actually bought the real versions of the ones that she used in Tomb Raider. She was also quoted saying, “If anybody comes into my home and tries to hurt my kids, I’ve no problem shooting them.” She’s super serious about her weapons use. It’s also been rumored that she is interested in building her own $400,000 shooting range.
We all know Demi Moore from her various box office hits, including Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. She was also the lucky woman married to the steamy Ashton Kutcher. What you may not know is that she was pictured firing a machine gun at a shooting range. A few years before that, she purchased a Glock like the ones from her Charlie’s Angels hit.
Mike Rowe is a great man and what makes him even better is that he loves his guns. So much so, that he had his say in President Obama’s plan to use “A list” celebrities to push gun control. It was also reported that he keeps a locked and loaded Mossberg 500 under his bed. He used this gun to shoot down a drone while he was completely nude. I’d love to do this, but i’m pretty sure it’s illegal in my state and I can’t get away with it because i’m far from famous.
You may know her as the spunky redhead from “That 70’s Show” or the fierce black haired inmate from “Orange Is The New Black”. Laura Prepon enjoys her guns, and you could never tell by the movies or shows she does. She owns and AR-15 and a mini-14 semi-automatic rifle. She apparently loves the energy it gives her when she shoots and some people get freaked out by it because she loves it so much. Not me, Laura, not me.
Eric Clapton started his passion for guns in 2003 and has increased his collection quite a bit since then, including some high end shotguns. He claims that the gun is like a working tool, but is also like a piece of art. He compares it to collecting guitars. He would get obsessed and then engulfed and would end up narrowing the collection. I do the same thing with my survival tools, Mr. Clapton.
You probably know him best from “Criminal Minds”, and much like in the show, he enjoys shooting his guns, but not at criminals. He is a supporter of gun rights and he’s a skeet and competition shooter. He owns multiple guns, but his favorite is the M1911.
Being a country girl, one could only hope that Miranda Lambert knows her way around guns. Good news, she does. She carries one around with her because according to her, she’s her own security. No reason for a bodyguard when she goes out shopping. I wonder how many guns she has at home.
You wouldn’t be able to tell from his movies, but Jeremy Renner used to be afraid of guns. It took him a while, but he now owns a few guns and has found a love for them. He was once quoted saying, “Taking guns from people is no answer. I own guns and want to keep it that way. But guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”
Chris Pratt is a very open person, which is why he admitted to owning thirty to forty guns. He even bought his wife, Anna Faris a gun in the event that someone were to break into their house. Believe it or not, Pratt is pro gun control even though he owns so many. He supports regulation, background checks, and preventing mentally ill people from buying one. Thanks for the honesty, Chris.
Joe Perry of Aerosmith has always been fascinated with guns. He has managed to acquire quite a few pieces here and there and then eventually started to collect. He has had an interest in all kinds of weapons his whole life. One has to wonder, with all of his money, how many guns does he really have?
No, he’s not an anti-gun Baldwin brother, he’s a completely different Baldwin. Much like his character Jayne and Serenity, he loves his guns. He is an avid gun owner and a Second Amendment supporter. He actually uses his Twitter to promote pro-gun articles and ideas. Good going, Adam.
If you have no idea who James Hetfield is, you’ve probably been living under a rock. The Metallica front man is a strong supporter of gun rights and hunting. He loves his guns, especially the ones that his father handed down to him. He is a firm believer of the Second Amendment and it’s something that’s really important to him.
I’m a manly man, but this guy scares the living heck out of me. He is a veteran Marine who spends most of his time being one of the official spokesmen for Glock firearms. He has been seen at gun shows and public engagements that promote the Glock brand and overall firearms ownership.
Well, there you have it. These are 11 celebrities who love their guns. Personally, I love my guns as well. They fit in well with all of my survival gear and they’re packed away in one of my heavy duty gun safes, which I highly recommend if you’re a gun owner. I wonder how many of these celebrities keep their guns in a safe. I’m guessing they were able to build their own arsenals inside of their homes.
